Gingerbread Latte

Espresso (1 shot)

2 tablespoons gingerbread flavored syrup

1/2 cup milk, steamed

1/8 cup whipped cream

1 pinch ground nutmeg

1 pinch ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder

In a coffee mug, combine espresso coffee with flavored syrup. Pour in steamed milk. Top with whipped cream, and sprinkle with nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla powder.


Café Americano

Espresso (# of shots desired)

Hot Water

Extract espresso shot(s) directly into cup; fill cup with hot water, leaving enough room for cream if desired and serve.

Café Cubano

Espresso (# of shots desired)

2 tsp brown sugar

Add sugar to bottom of espresso cup; extract espresso directly onto sugar in cup. Swirl to blend and melt, then serve.

A common variant is that the drink is sweetened while the espresso is being brewed. In this version, the sugar is packed above the coffee grounds in the espresso machine and allowed to pass with the hot water through the espresso puck while brewing.


Caffè con panna

Espresso (# of shots desired)

Whipped Cream (about 2 ounces)

Extract espresso directly into cup; add dollop of whipped cream, then garnish with chocolate and/or cinnamon if desired.

Alternatively, add the dollop of whipped cream to cup and extract the espresso directly on top, then garnish and serve.


Caffè Affogato

Gelato (2 to 4 ounces)

Espresso (# of shots desired)

Put a scoop of gelato into bottom of cup. Extract espresso directly over gelato. Or pour espresso in cup and stir with Gelato*.
 
*May substitute Gelato with Ice Cream, Sorbet or Yogurt.
